headcanon that in the autumn of 1989 the losers go to the movies to see Dead Poets Society beacuse it was the movie everyone was talking about that fall
•Richie at first was like “this looks so lame” and stuff but by the end of it he was the one crying the hardest. Eddie holds him while he sobs.
•Stan and Mike both agree that Neil and Todd were in love and this only makes Richie cry harder.
•Bill, Beverly, and Eddie develop a huge crush on Robert Sean Leonard( Neil) much to Richie’s and Ben’s dismay.
• Stan and Richie think young Ethan Hawke ( Todd) is cute as fuck but Gale Hansen( Charlie) is plain hot.
•Ben gets really inspired by the film and says he wants to be just like Mr. Keating
•Mike feels really happy because finally a movie about books !!! He goes to the library to find all the poems mentioned in the movie
•Richie insists that eveyone starts calling him Nwuanda lol
• They all get inspired to start their own dead poets meetings in the clubhouse , they recite the same Thoreau verses and even find a poster of the movie that they hang on one of the walls there
• Bev insists that they all read at least one poem or novel by a women because while the movie was okay there was not a single mention of women’s work and she is a feminist queen.
•(feel free to add more)

I've been thinking all day about Reddie+Lyrics
Like how many song fit with this ship omgomgomg
Example: Lucky- Jason mraz
Lucky i'm in love with my best friend
Lucky to have been where i have been
Lucky to be coming home again
Lucky we're in love in every way
Lucky to have stayed where i have stayed
Lucky to be coming home someday
Or this whole playlist
And this fact just makes me cry and laugh at the same time. Not sure why i'm saying this, maybe to make you cry with me. We'll all float... Just that we'll float in pain (?

All right so no one else cares but I can’t stop thinking about a Seven Birds AU (taz balance) but with the Losers Club
The Protector: Magnus: Bill
Instead of losing his wife, Bill loses his little brother to Governor Pennywise. Torn between making Pennywise the hunger vs. Bowers, but I think Bowers is more of a sympathetic character who’s being driven by forces larger and eviler than him. He’s more human.
The Twins: Lup and Taako: Bev and Stan
Idk why I really want them to be siblings (adopted or not) but I do. Contemplating who to make Taako for a long time but I decided not to make Taako Eddie or Richie because then one of them would have to be Kraavitz, and I decided Patty should absolutely be Kraavitz. Bev is obviously Lup (winter fire) and is a competent badass Lich. Stan is a cool and collected but exteremely talented wizard who wears a bright red scarf that is absolutely not his thing but he feels inexplicably attached to. The scarf is always warm. It blew Richie across the room when he touched it fjfkf
The Lover: Barry: Obviously Ben
Not sure I have to explain this one. So in love with Bev. Loyal and kind. Barry is lowkey my favorite bird and Ben is lowkey my favorite Loser so it tracks.
Lucretia: Mike!! Absolutely! Also librarian/ author parralells
Both of them kept secrets and believe in the greater good over personal struggles. (defeating the Hunger/ Pennywise).
Merle: fjfkf RICHIE
Hawaiian shirt motherfucker. Ngl adore the idea of Richie being a lover of plants and ALSO being the one to interact with Bowers and strike up a weird fucking friendship with him. Captivated by the short strange man that only speaks to him through eye rolls and card games. Instead of being a cleric he’s a bard who’s tells bad jokes because I make the rules. Or if he’s a cleric his god is the Turtle dude and he still tells bad jokes
The Wordless One: Eddie
Always told he is too delicate, too small by his mother. Ends up as the captain of an intergalactic space journey and soarer of the skies (LET EDDIE RUN!! MRS. KAPBRASK) Much more prominent role in this AU than in the podcast, strikes up a strange friendship with this weird ass Hawaiian shirt dude. Also instead of “Eddie or Davenport” he says Eds. Everytime he says that in front of Richie he looks freaked a bit.

Glasgow - Reddie Headcannon
Summary: In which Richie wraps Eddie around his finger, and makes him do that shit that he never does....
listen to Glasgow by Catfish & the Bottlemen while you read
——
- Richie and Eddie are in their late twenties
- they haven’t seen each other in years
- they fucking miss the losers club,
- and they were in love with each other, but after pennywise they stopped talking
- they all did
- they moved on and got married, Eddie to his husband and Richie to his wife
- but when Eddie comes back to Derry and bumps into Richie they go right back to their old ways
- Eddie is glad to be away from his hisband because he loves him, at least he thinks he does
- neither of them are happy where they are
- but being with Richie is something else
- it’s as if that hole in his life is full
- he is whole again
- they go to a bar and start talking and get drunk
- and Richie tells Eddie everything, about why he loves Derry and why he never left
- and Eddie is just wrapped around Richie’s finger
- and suddenly he’s doing all kinds of things he would never do, fun things
- and Eddie tells Richie everything, about why he hates Derry and why he left
- but spending a night with Richie in Derry reminds Eddie of everything he forgot, all the things about Derry there are to love
- and he becomes aware that it wasn’t the town that he hated, or the people, it was his mother
- the town was what kept him sane
- the people were what kept him alive
- all Richie wants is to go back to high school, to when they were so close and Eddie was almost his
- and Eddie just has Richie wrapped around his finger
- and the moment when they’re walking down the street and Richie pisses Eddie off and he won’t talk to him until Richie just scoops Eddie up into his arms in the middle of the street is when they just both realize
- and the moment when their song comes on in the bar, and they’re just starting to get tipsy, and before they know they’re standing on the barstools singing to anyone who will listen... and that’s when they just both realize
- this is it

Ready to Run: Two
Summary: Eddie has always lived a same life, and Richie’s has been everything but. based off of the song ready to run by one direction!!!
Word count: 1,140
Pairings: Reddie
Part 2/?
1, 2
Eddie stood at the end of the boarding dock, a wide smile on his face as the salty air ran through his hair. He walked up the ramp leading to the giant cruise boat, handing his ticket to the staff member at the entrance. His plain black suitcase followed behind him, packed full of his plain travel essentials and rattling from his wide selection of medication.
After the end credits of the Kardashians came on last Sunday, Eddie received a phone call informing him that he'd won the cruise trip for two. He considered asking someone to join him, but ended up donating the second ticket back to the church.
After checking in at the front desk and placing his things in his astonishingly well-decorated room, he headed out for an adventure.
It wasn't so much that Eddie didn't like change, just that he never had much chance to experience it. The vast variety of areas and events on the ship astounded him and he couldn't wait to begin his journey.
The plain boy walked up and down the length of the ship in search of something fun to do. After taking a glance at a map, he decided on going to the waterpark on the front deck. He grabbed his things from his grand suite and made his way there.
Upon entering, he was swallowed by the loud noises and the massive crowd. Apparently someone was having a family reunion, because surrounding him was a rather abundant group of people all wearing the same t-shirt. People relaxed together in groups scattered across the deck, and Eddie began to wonder if the cruise had been a mistake. He hadn't considered the possibility that he could be the only single person on board. Becoming overwhelmed with emotion, he walked to the edge of the deck and looked out onto the water and the boat below him. The sun had begun to set and the view was spectacular. Eddie was stood between two lounge chairs in a long line adjacent to the pool, and After staring off for a few minutes, he sat down.
Across the pool from Eddie, there was a boy. He was sitting back on a chair, his bright Hawaiian printed shirt unbuttoned, revealing his tanned chest. His eyes were covered by a pot of huge sunglasses, but the serenity of his being suggested they were closed. Eddie had never seen a bigger smile in his life. Earbuds were playing music in the boy's ears, and Eddie wanted nothing more than to know what song.
But, Eddie was a plain boy. He liked things to stay the same. And he figured that a cruise was enough change for one day. Eddie fell asleep, soaking in the sun. He dreamed of the boy in the Hawaiian shirt.
—
Eddie awoke the next morning in his suite. After his nap on the deck, he returned to his suite and ordered room service for dinner. That night, he decided that each day on this cruise he would try one new thing. That day, Eddie decided to try one of the classes offered by the cruise. The selection was vast, and they offered everything from cross-stitching to combat. He looked through the list for a while, then settled on a pottery class. Pottery wasn't anything too new, but it wasn't something he had tried before. Plus, maybe attending a class would allow him to make a friend.
It was 10am and the seminar was scheduled to begin at 11. Eddie swung by the breakfast buffet on his way to the class and grabbed some fruit. He didn't want to be late and wanted to make sure he got a good seat if a lot of people attended. However, it became apparent to Eddie that everyone else had this same idea when he walked into the classroom and it was nearly full. He surveyed the room, noticing mostly couples sitting together in front of those pottery skinny wheel things. Everyone had their own, and Eddie was one of the last to take a seat, sitting at one in the back near the door.
It was 10:55 when the instructor began giving the lesson. Eddie tried his hardest to follow along, but was easily frustrated and distracted by all the other people in the room. He had a hard time hearing the instructor from the back of the class, and copying instructions by looking at what others were doing was too complicated. He tried his hardest, but clay in his hands and hair Eddie decided enough was enough. He turned off his spinny thing and began to try and sneak quietly out of the classroom.
As fate would have it, just as he looked toward the door it opened, and another person busted into the lesson. But it wasn't just any person, it was the boy in the Hawaiian shirt. Although, this time it was a new, just as elaborately printed button up. His sunglasses were retired onto his head and his hair was as curly as ever. He was standing closer to Eddie than ever before, although when the door swung open it almost hit Eddie in the face.
When he opened the door he made no effort to do it quietly, and had drawn everyones attention to him. Noticing the attention, he cracked a smile and held a finger gun up to his face and then pointed it at the instructor. Everyone was silent.
"I'm here for the pot." he said in a serious tone.
Everyone was still silent.
The class was full of couples, sure, but they were all over sixty apart from Eddie. Sending the awkwardness, the boy slowly moved his hands out of the gun, put on his sunglasses and let out a deep sigh laced with laughter. Meanwhile, Eddie had been trying as hard as he could to keep his laughter inside. The effort however, was to no avail, and as everyone else turned their attention back to the instructor, the boy turned his to Eddie.
"I'm Richie," he said with a smile and extended his hand for a shake. "Love a guy that can appreciate a good pot joke," Richie paused, allowing for Eddie to say something, but he couldn't seem to get any words out.
A familiar feeling had flooded Eddie's lungs. His asthma had returned. Eddie patted his pockets in search of an inhaler before he realized that he hadn't carried one since high school. His doctor told him that asthma went away with age, and he didn't believe it would return. The panic of not having an inhaler only made him breathe harder, and if Richie hadn't tapped him on the shoulder who knows what would've happened. With his left hand Richie handed Eddie an inhaler and smiled.
"Looks like I took your breath away."

Ready to Run
Summary: Eddie has always lived a same life, and Richie’s has been everything but.
Word count: 522 (future parts will be longer!!)
Pairings: Reddie
Part 1/?
Just so you know... this used to be a 1D fanficton that I wrote two chapters of in like 2014 and it’s based off of the song Ready to Run by One Direction!!!
Ready to Run
Eddie Kaspbrak always had a plain life. He always wore the same types of clothes, always ate at the same place for lunch and always watched Keeping up with the Kardashians on Sundays at six.
He had a same life, the kind where you repeat the same plain actions day in and day out- but don't get him wrong, he was perfectly content. To some, living such a plain life would grow tiring and the routine would drive them insane. However, Eddie wanted nothing more than what he had, and had nothing more than what he needed.
He always had a same life, even though he never realized it.
Eddie stepped up in the line at the cash register in his favorite corner shop which was down the road from his apartment. He lived alone in a one bedroom, which was scarcely decorated. He worked as a receptionist in his local accounting firm. The pay was good enough. He had a few co-workers that he could consider friends and a few leftovers from high school, but apart from them he was a very lonely person.
In his hands, Eddie held several containers of pasta sauce and a box of spaghetti. When he reached the register, he paid for his items and on his way out the door he noticed a group of teenagers, two girls and a boy, standing behind a booth. The sign above read: "Donate for St. Mary's cathedral repairs!"
The children running the booth, although just a few short years younger than him, showed no sign of remorse for the disaster that was St. Marys post-winter.
In Derry, ME, winters were harsh and tore apart the city. In a way however, the harsh weather brought everyone together in the tight-knit community.
Those who were fortunate enough to be young and healthy shoveled the streets and those where were growing old remained inside, shielded from the dangers of the cold, knitting scarves for the children and the less-fortunate.
The cathedral took it hard and the snow seemed to stick to the roof. There was some sort of issue that Eddie didn't quite understand, and the snow built up to the point where the roof collapsed. The church was a focal point in the community and had been raising money for repairs for 4 months since the disaster in January.
Eddie walked up to the booth to donate and pulled out a 50 dollar bill. The boy at the booth's eyes widened as he took it and he handed Eddie a blue raffle ticket.
Attached was a pamphlet explaining a contest. Since Eddie had donated over $20, he was entered in a raffle to win a free trip for 2 on a cruise. The winning ticket would be drawn Sunday at 6:30, right after his show. He signed a paper with his phone number and name and the boy put it in a fishbowl containing what must've been 1000 tickets.
He shrugged, shoving the ticket in his pocket. A cruise would be nice. “Things have been the same around here for a while,” Eddie thought.
